Browser support check
This page checks, right now and on your device, which video and file features your browser supports. Nothing is uploaded or recorded.

What the results mean
WebCodecs plus a decoder for your video's codec is what matters most. With both, the frame tool is frame-exact and fast, and Video to GIF and Video to MP3 work. Without WebCodecs, Video To Frames falls back to a slower method that may be one frame off; GIF and MP3 need it.
H.264 covers most MP4 files. HEVC is common on iPhones; support depends on the browser and on hardware. If your video's codec shows No, try another browser or convert the video to H.264 first.
The other features are conveniences: without Save to folder you download a ZIP instead; without Share files, phones download to the Files app rather than Photos.
Is this check private?
Yes. Each item is tested by asking your browser what it supports. The results are shown only to you and aren't sent anywhere.
Frequently asked questions
Which browser is best for extracting frames?
A current version of Chrome, Edge or Safari supports WebCodecs and common codecs such as H.264. Firefox supports WebCodecs in recent versions; codec support varies by platform.
Why does my browser say No for HEVC?
HEVC decoding usually depends on the operating system and graphics hardware. Safari on Apple devices and Chrome or Edge on many Windows PCs with hardware support can decode it; others can't.
Does this page collect my browser information?
No. The checks run in your browser and the results are displayed only to you.
